NEW Summer Group and Virtual Midweek Gathering

        PUBLISHED - 13th June 2023

You are warmly invited to join us at two new virtual groups which will be starting on Tuesday 20th June and Thursday 6th July.

After listening to feedback from many of our clients, we would like to start to offer some new events for you to meet others, through different groups and gatherings that Torch could offer. Over the coming months you will start to hear about new opportunities to connect with others either on Zoom or in person.

A new group, the ‘Summer’ group, will be meeting for a short period in the summer to reflect on, and study, God’s Word together. We are starting this group on Thursday 6th July at 2.00pm. This will be an introductory 4-part series, meeting weekly. We will look at Encountering Jesus; specifically ‘An Invitation to Meet Jesus’, ‘An Invitation to Follow Jesus, ‘An Invitation to be Changed by Jesus, and ‘An Invitation to Others.’ The Summer group will meet on Zoom using the internet or phone. You can join on your own, with a friend or with family. Contact Client Services to register, receive the joining instructions and to claim your free course notes.

We are also launching a new virtual group this June which will meet once a month, mid-week on the third Tuesday of each month at 11.00am (so its first meeting was 20th June). This will be a time to meet new people and enjoy some time in fellowship with each other. Please contact Client Services to express your interest and get the joining instructions.

As part of those Tuesday meetings, we will be exploring the possibility of starting other groups, such as a virtual book group, a podcast group and a reflective prayer group. We would really like to hear your thoughts, views and ideas so please join us to discuss some of these ideas further. This is a way you can be involved in exploring what is next for Torch and our clients and how we can bring more blind and partially sighted people together.

We look forward to welcoming you to these events.
