REGIONAL

25 of us gathered at Torch Holiday and Retreat Centre last week for our Annual Regional Coordinators Conference. Last week we sought to encourage each other in our approach and contact with both Adult Social Services and Churches in our respective areas. We also reflected on the life, calling and work of the prophet Nehemiah and the lessons we can learn from him.

It was encouraging to learn of God's blessing on the work of the Groups. A greatly positive time made doubly blessed by the kind and generous hospitality of Gail Millar and Richard Clarke.

INTERNATIONAL

Praise God we have been able to pack and send a container on its journey to Malawi. This is due in Malawi 12-16 April. Janet is going to Malawi on March 19th - end of April. Many thanks for all the lovely items we received from you, which have gone into filling the container. They will be an evidence to the blind people of God's love and care for them especially at this time when there is no harvest.

Do remember Janet in your prayers.

Thank you!

LITERATURE

Several books have been written on what Jesus said on the cross. However, here's a short book of meditations on what Jesus said after his resurrection, making it an ideal chocolate-less Easter present! 'The Things He Said' by Stephen Cottrell is available in Braille, Giant Print and DAISY for £6.99 and of course from our Library for free!

Have a blessed Eastertide!

TORCH HOUSE NEWS

Pat Temple, Gordon's wife has had a recent knee replacement and is making steady if slow progress.

We have recently been blessed with a number of new volunteers, who assist us with all manner of tasks at Torch House.

HOLIDAY NEWS

Lots of paint has been applied to virtually every room at Torch Holiday and Retreat Centre by Gail, Richard and a team of volunteers, during the past few weeks. The season starts in earnest with the Easter houseparty and there are also plans to have constructed outside a sensory garden.
