Information Services Leader - Torch House – Market Harborough

We are looking for someone to support the Executive Team of the Torch Trust by leading, developing, planning, managing and delivering appropriate and engaging information, including news and product/services information, to the various audiences with which Torch connects – and to extend and widen our reach to those audiences.

Specific tasks include:

  • Plan and deliver campaigns to communicate initiatives across the range of Torch audiences 
  • Maintain the content of the Torch Trust website(s)
  • Prepare and maintain a compact range of promotional and informative literature
  • Oversee the origination and design of Torch News and other informational publications
  • Manage design agency and other relevant sub-contractor relationships
  • Plan and organise Torch presence at exhibitions

Area Development Officer

As part of our National Strategy to reach out to churches, sight loss professionals, volunteers and clients.

We are particularly interested in Christians with experience of working with sight loss and/or any marketing or promotional skills. This position is generally 25 hours per week and would offer flexible opportunity to work from home or one of our remote bases.

To rise to this exciting challenge, you will be:

  • Creative, dynamic and able to use initiative.
  • A brilliant and enthusiastic communicator, able to inspire and engage a variety of different types of people.
  • Willing and able to travel around the region and occasionally other parts of the UK.
  • Available to work flexibly, including some non-standard hours.

There is an occupational Requirement that the post-holders are Christian. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be needed.

Cook – Torch Holiday and Retreat Centre – Hurstpierpoint

Available for an immediate start

We are looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic cook with a proven track record to deliver the highest standards and fresh food to our Holiday Centre guests. Our centre provides holidays and support for people with sight loss and a large proportion are elderly.

An ability to show empathy with blind and disabled people is essential.

The role is a permanent position.
